Security guards have been deployed to all schools in Barbados as of this morning. Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw stated that 38 security officers were assigned following an audit and discussions with unions. The move has been welcomed by Barbados Union of Teachers President Rudy Lovell, who supports the increased security measures.
